Four beliefs we learned by building, not on paper.

One origin

Color, typography and spacing come from the same source. Change the origin and the whole product changes with it.

Clarity

Every component in its place, with the right curve and weight. Easy to find, hard to get wrong.

From design to code with no noise. We brought the product's own design system here as a living foundation.

Foundations

The decisions behind everything.

Every choice has a reason. These are some that shaped the BeeHive the most along the way.

Royal leads, Lima signs

The lime-green bee is recognized by color before the name. Royal drives blocks and CTAs; Lima and Tangerina bring the energy.

From Curiosa to Nunito Sans

We had two fonts fighting between brand and product. We standardized on a single one and everything fell into tune.

It was too rounded

We created a radius per role (control, surface, pill), decoupled from scale. Each thing with the right curve.

hive

The honeycomb became the motif

The bee and the cell appear from the Room Display welcome to the signature gradient. The brand in the details.

sync

The docs use the real tokens

No hardcoded values: the documentation consumes its own tokens. Change the token, the docs change with it.

The foundation came from the product

We brought the product's own design system into the BeeHive. The same components in App, Panel and Room Display.
